Meet your coach

Anthony Power

Good day! My name is Anthony and I’m your coach and Level 3 certified Personal Trainer.

My weightlifting career started when I was a teenager where I first stepped into my local 24 hour health club. At the time I had very little knowledge or interest in sports and had never lifted a dumbbell in my entire life!

At school I struggled with being under weight and poor athleticism. The gym however, for the first time evoked a sense of excitement and interest in being physically active.

I was able to make more progress physically than I ever was capable of at school. My own personal milestone achievement at the time was hitting a 200kg deadlift at age 18.

Soon afterwards I was active in strongman and powerlifting style training and participated in local competitions.

Throughout my late 20s my training shifted to more of a hybrid style, more focused on aspects of hypertrophy, functionality as well as an aim for longevity.

As the years pass, so do many of our goals, in and outside of the gym.
